The St. Lawrence Branch will be unveiling its fifth Loyalist Burial Site plaque on June 1st at the Salem United Church Cemetery in Summerstown. The public invitation can be found below:

The Loyalist Resource Centre will be closed from December 13th to January 5th for the holiday season. We will reopen on January 6th.

We’re excited to announce that a new sign for the Loyalist Resource Centre was recently installed at 5 College St. in Iroquois!

Another Loyalist plaque was dedicated on Saturday August 31st at St. Andrew’s Pioneer Cemetery in St. Andrew’s West.

After a short haitus, the Royal Yorker is back! Members can enjoy the latest issue, compiled by our new Newsletter Editor, Janet Kennedy, by visiting our Royal Yorker page.

We invite you to join us on Sat, September 14 2024 for our annual St. Lawrence Branch Charter Night Dinner. The event is to be held at St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church, 15 Memorial Square, Ingleside. It will begin with a meet and greet at 5 p.m. and dinner served at 6 p.m. will feature Chicken Cordon Blue @ $30.00 per person. Advance tickets are required. Deadline for ticket sales is August 30th. Guest speaker for the evening is Brian Porter of Brockville, who will be speaking on “The Royal Trio: Three ships running the rapids of the St. Lawrence prior to the Seaway Project” namely The Rapids Queen, The Rapids King and the Rapids Prince.

The St. Lawrence Branch UELAC will be hosting its annual Charter Night Banquet on September 16^th at St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church, 15 Memorial Square, Ingleside. Social hour will begin at 5:00pm and the meal will be served at 6:00pm.

It will be a ham supper with all the fixings and will feature a presentation by Roy Lewis, who has been part of the UELAC for over 30 years and has served on both the Col. Edward Jessup Branch and Central East Regional executive committees.

Tickets are $30 per person, advance sales only. If you are interested in attending, email Secretary Darlene Fawcett at dmfawcett@ripnet.com. E-transfers can be sent to Treasurer Michael Eamer at eamermc@yahoo.com. When sending an e-transfer, please include a note in the “Message” box stating that you are purchasing a ticket for the dinner. An email will be sent to confirm receipt of money, and the tickets will be set aside. Tickets must be reserved by September 4th.
