Military Info : Private in Prince of Wales American Regiment; Brigadier General Montford Brown commanded the Prince of Wales American Regiment (Provincial 1776-1783). He established his Headquarters in Flushing, Long Island. The Prince of Wales American Regiment fought at Danbury, Newport, Charlestown (SC), Hanging Rock (Lancaster Co., SC), George Town, Friday’s Ferry (Columbia, SC) and Cowpens (Spartanburg Co., SC).(see history )
