Military Info : Since an application for a grant of land dated 3 May 1824 gives his age then as 64 yrs, it seems reasonable to suppose he was Born about 1760, birthplace unknown. He served with the 1st Battalion, De Lancy's Brigade. 23 Feb 1778 roll call at Newtown he is listed as Private. 24 Jun 1782 now Corporal. 21 Feb 1783 Cpl Richard Rogers is reported at Huntingdon, wounded, also prisoner of rebels. 24 Oct 1783 has now rejoined the company.
