Biography : The military log from the "Year Without a Summer" (1816), indicates his family is granted some food from the King. He is living with his wife in New Carlisle at the time. Note that almost everyone qualified for this assistance in this time of food scarcity.
Proven Descendants : Victoria 1979.09.27; London & Western Ontario 1982.07.27; Calgary 1983.06.14; Calgary 1984.04.10; Toronto 2000.05.08.
Records have been produced which show that Robert Flowers was a professional soldier in some early years of the War. Also it has not been proven that he was settled in the Americas at the outbreak of the revolution. Although a loyalist who fought for the King, there are insufficient proofs for him to qualify as a UE Loyalist.
