Biography : 1759 born John Davis, died without heirs probably accounting for the fact that no serious researcher that I am aware of makes an issue of his UEL status. This is very likely the John who fought with the KRRNY (and not the one who was with Butler's Rangers). He came to Canada in 1794 and on 24 Oct 1798 he was awarded Lots 20 & 23, C5 in Saltfleet. He ended up in Norfolk on Lot 2, C14 Windham beside his mother, Jane. Strangely, his probate documents are found in Middlesex.
